And I'm pretty sure it's heresy to admit it, but I've never played a Zelda game other than the first five minutes of Twilight Princess and watching my best friend fail at a temple in OoT(GC).

Indiana weather in summer varies between hot, absurdly hot, and omgwtf WAY too hot to be outside. Except for when we're having tornadoes. Then it's just merely warm.

It looks a little cloudy today, so I'm betting on it just being merely hot.

And you should definitely play OoT 3D, and here's why:

You get OoT 3D. Neat.
You get Tales of the Abyss, the previously unreleased Tales game (at least in the UK, to my understanding). You get JADE MOTHER*bleep*ING CURTISS! EPIC WIN.

I thought the GCN version of ToS got a European release.
I swear I saw that it did while I was searching for TotA release info.

Aha. I knew I wasn't crazy. So I wouldn't worry about not being able to play ToS. You've just got to pick up a copy of it for your region. =D

And I know it's a sin, but I've got both Baten Kaitos games and I haven't touched either one of them yet. I have a massive backlog of games I've had for months and still haven't played. >.>

I'd give Zelda another chance if I didn't have a complete distaste for Nintendo sans... Metroid and a bit of Pokemon because they evolve and don't just tack on a new gimmick with every new iteration.

(though... I suppose metroid prime could be guilty, considering 2 was the whole light/dark world thing that's been done to pieces and 3 had the whole hyper mode thing. and hunters was built for multiplayer... have i partially blinded myself because of how awesome the first one was? :<)
