To Tiger, awesome, a weapons factory of some sort it is, and no big hurry on your first post . I'm really glad you liked my post too, thanks . As for Crysis, the thing about the squirrel is that he's not stupid or simple, but he is quite easy-going and casual, like a friend you would watch movies and goof off with. That line there is really more wordy than he would be. He'd likely say something kinda like "Wow, I bet it's amazing to feel another being's spirit", in a quite sincere but not verbose way, since he's not so much about big speeches or clever turns of phrase as basic honesty and earnestness in what he says. It's tricky to mesh that with the more urgent sort of writing needed in a duel though, so I'm still practicing. If the post only earned that for criticism I guess I'm doing well at it .

Secretly, Nibbles was a working character of mine for two-ish years. >> I used him in RP Chats, it was hilarious. I got kicked out of so many chats because of playing him. Oh well. I remember when he was a unique mutation in a Resident Evil RP...-cough- Then he was Sergeant Nibbles, the GI Joe inspired one hamham army. The third time I introduced him in anyway was with a female who carried him around, and whenever she got really nervous she would sneeze and turn into some hamster girl. But randomly created characters don't garner a lot of love in AOL chat RPs...

Bah, to a cold and barren Hell with those who ban creativity from an RP I say . Hehehe, really though, I know I'm not the only one to think up such characters. I've had Crysis for probably close to a decade now, and Zone for most of that time, so really it's a case of them developing as characters, and me thinking at some time or another that it would be awesome fun to use them in the NDL, so I made plans to do so once I unlocked a second character slot, That time came around, and now they have 2 duels and 2 wins under their (non-existant) belts, plus 6 entries in The Chronicles. For them, getting into the NDL has been as exciting and anticipated an event as say, getting into a hobby-based tournament would be for you, I or someone else in real life. They've spent years talking to people on MSN and chat rooms - real friends, not characters - and starring or appearing in one-off fics and stories I've written. They're much more aspects of my own personality than characters in the normal, traditional sense of fictional individuals in a fictional setting. The NDL is just the most formalised stage they've graced, because I came up with the idea, and I asked myself, why the Hell not? Even before I became mod of this place (which came out of nowhere, more or less), I said to myself, there's only one me, you only live once and most of all, what more genuine reason is there to do anything in an interest-driven place such as this, than the desire?

Hehehe, and now here they are, in the flesh and fur, growing as I write them just as I've grown from experiences in my life. That's their story, or rather, a nutshell of it. There's a lot more that I've left out for brevity, I don't wanna start rambling on ya .

As for this srsbsns vs. fun duel thing, I really wish I could do the whole comedy thing. Like a lot, but I know I just suck at it. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to over the top with the seriousness thing.

I guess at my core I'm a horror writer, or at least I'd like to be one, and while I do slip in my one liners here in there, it's hard to pull off right xD


Also, with DG being busy these days (>_>), would anyone else like to start up a duel? I was just only starting to get the feel for Mr. Faust.

I didn't want to put too much detail into the character because I wanted space to grow her through short story pieces and the duels she will be in.

I would say perhaps adding a bit more personality would work since in a duel your opponent might be kind of lost though.

I don't like making a pre-rendered personality right away. I have to play her before I can get a feel for who she is as a person.
