	on youtube i saw a guy beat gold in a little over 5 minutes. did he use a cheat or was his game glitced? (he started at the beginning of the game,skipped over all the land and beat the elite4 with no pokemon)

	Walk through walls colde with Action Replay/Gameshark. When you get into battles you automatically win em. I did it myself once. -------------------

	If you mean to the point of the Elite4 then I've done it in 4. If you're talking about all 16 badges then it was 7. -------------------

	That was Japanese Green version, not Gold or Silver. There's a trick in that version called "dokokashira" that lets you shift bytes into such variables as "What building am I walking into?" such as, oh, entering some random building and winding up in the Hall of Fame room (it's not beating the elite 4 with no Pokemon; it's just skipping them altogether).

	No, but I've heard the explanations of tricks that only worked in those versions. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5830 links to a demonstration video file (as well as an emulator input file that generates the same action from the video, provided you have the same ROM--getting that is the hard part) and explains just how it works.
