Word of advice, never run for political office. How can this game possibly confuse you? Every command is easy to use and all the options are understandble. Maybe you should stick to the basic strategy games like crusader if you can't handle Civilization III.

Well perhaps you had the option on where different computer actions are used everytime you play. As for the city thing, i am not entirely sure why that would hapen although there are some technical reasons, but I would not get upset, I would conduct espionage in attempt to get it back and should that not work I would get it back by force unless of course it was unimportat to my overall plot in the game.

Well the technical reasons are some of the problems with the game that we are discussing. That is why some of us have a problem with the game is because things happen when they shouldn't if you are playing properly. I have used many ways to get the city back like by force or espionage missions but the fact is that many of the problems should not happen in the first place. I love this game and still play to this day however if one were to critize about it then those would be my problems that I have with this game.

Alright i c, now we are all starightened out. Maybe you need a new computer or the glitch could perhaps be in your game.

I have many friends with this problem as well. It has also been confirmed in the Blizzard chats as well. Clearly I think it is a problem with the game itself that the developers missed. Granted I still love the game it just bugs me.

To the person who mentioned about the cities being reconverted shortly after taking them...tell me about it, engaged in a war with Egyptians I would take over some of their cites during the war, then, with my armies waning sign a cease fire only to have 2 or 3 turns later the cities convert BACK to the Egypitains despite them either being impressed with or in awe of my culture. Oh well, I rebuild the army and attack anew...and here is a solution for ya, raze the city, fortify some troops where it stood and then send in a settler, if the people in the city are the ones causing the mess this fixes that problem cause now only YOUR people are in the city.


As for your 5 or 6 faces in the city...don't forget these faces are representing some...based on era of gameplay...some 800,000 to over 1 Million people. Imagine New York City or Philidelphia without a subway...on second thought you are better off not.

I do dislike some things though...the city problem with culture for one and for 2 no matter how fast you expand the computer ALWAYS seems to get the resources, so here you are defending your cities with riflemen while the computer has TANKS

Oh well, I still like this game and Conquests is cool too

Yes please refrain from the elections talk. If you talk politics then keep it on the politics of this game. Or at least how they refer to the title of this game. If you liked the way they were constructed or not. I think they did a good job with the politics of this game however it always kills me when a leader calls me a backstabber when they have invaded everyone.

Me too man and I also hate the fact that you cannot bribe enemies on this game.

Yeah or what about having the enemy split into separate factions? In part 2 when you dominated another enemy they revolted and split in 2 sometimes. That would of been interesting here.

i found that this game really, really sucked. my towns kept getting diseases and u hav to create roads to horses even if they are inside ur town's square thingy. armies aren't too big. about 2 of my veteran archers and veteran spearman lost to 2 spearman standing guard at a town. some hits miss and some hit but although that's kinda realistic it sucks coz my guys kept losing even if they were on 4 health and the other was on 1
