well
first off
you do have a spear rigth?
you should use the spear so you can toss it
over the whole screen
if you have n is gonna be a tad much harder
you have that fire attack rigth
get loads of ingredients so you can use the fire and the mud spell/alchemy thingie
and fire as many as you can aim at the salabog
then when he is close attack him at full power some times and back off and start firing them again
if you where as lucky (as I was not)
then you hold the attack button down and charge the spear as much as possible
and aim at the salabog when it appears
it should damage atleast something like 70-200
I dont realy remember
have maxed out of petals and honey and some other smart stuff

importantyou can only throw the spear when you have killed 300 enemies with it so you should find a nice spot with loads of enemies that are easy to kill prefereably close to a save place
and just kill enemies with the spear

Just power up ur Horn Spear to level 3 (and keep hitting him with level 3 attack) also make sure ur Heal Alchemy is at decent level (2/3) and if ya havent got Defend Alchemy? get it! use it all the time, it helps a whole lot and if this dont work try this guide SOE Guide

I'm afraid I beat Salabog a little differently. I powered up Flash to level 9, and just kept frying him until he died. It took a while to build it up to that level, but at least I had a decently powerful alchemy attack for the rest of the game.

My brother did the same thing with Flash, I however used the Horn Spear @ level 3, and had my Heal Spell at level 6.

The spear at lvl 3 is the way to go I kinda found it easy that way although alchemy was never my thing so I don't know how well flash would go but I presume it would work as well

I just use the spells I think are important. Once I got Flash, I used it every now and then till I got Fireball.

Yeah there are some spells that are a must have in the selection. I usually used my spear or sword but I always had some spells that I used alot. I loved using sting the most I think ony because it was one that I found hardest to find.

I never found Sting to be all that useful. I mean the whole bee stinging thing is comical, but I just genrally didn't like all that much.

Nah It didn't do that much but then none of them really did besides a couple like Fireball, Nitro, and lance was quite powerfull at a high lvl

Fireball and Lance are a powerful combination at high levels, especially after Corrosion on the local enimies.

yeah when i first played the game I never really used corrosion but it is great at times.

Same here, cuz' I never could find any water when I needed it. Plus, by the time the enemy(s) start to get hurt a lot by Corrosion, my dog would kill it. Ticks me off.

The dog is quite powerful towards the end of the game.

Yes, almost too powerful.
