Resient Evil or Silent Hill?

For me its silent hill, its just awesome even 2day. Resident Evil was amazing but Silent Hill is just un surpased. IMO there still hasnt been a game in that genre that beats it. The mood it sets, it geniunally is a scary game. When the air raid siren sounds that first time in the school and u go through the clock tower, firs time that happened i got so freaked out i had too turn it off lol.

A lot of games seem to be split down a line, those which had tons of popularity and those which had less, and even though Silent Hill fit a bit more into the latter than the Resident Evil series it's definitely the better games, in my opinion.

I enjoyed Resident Evil 2 the most but also had a 'great time' with Silent Hill. I was much younger when I played both games to they both seemed awesome. When I play them now I don't get too excited about it but back then I sure did live through all of the horror, in a way.

I think that Silent Hill always had better and much more challenging riddles and a lot more terrifying things. The story is deep and complex while in Resident Evil games it's usually a bit easier to understand the plot and it's given to you as is, straightforward. You can't understand the plot in its entirety by just playing through the game, you have to put a lot of thought into it.

Definitely Silent Hill is the better horror game. Although, RE is still a good game by itself. SH just had a higher creep-factor.

I would go with RE because i have never played SH.I think that it made the Franchise,or i mean Genre of Survival horror and has a good storyline.

I prefer Silent Hill, myself.

I also prefer resident evil, Really scares me I always jump when I see a random zombie come at me and start shaking rofl!

I never played Silent hill for psone I didnt know they had it? From this thread though it sounds like a good game. I might have to emulate it on my Pc to give it a spin
