Experiencing some site performance difficulties

Hi everyone,

We're experiencing some site performance issues after some changes. We're trying to narrow down the cause. For the time being we're trying different things, which may break or diminish various features of the site.

If you encounter problems please feel free to post them in this thread, but also please be aware we might already be investigating it, and thanks for your patience.

Red, the story is posting to facebook like crazy. It must be up there like 2 or 3 dozen times, just fyi.

Clicking the little star on threads doesn't do anything. :<

quick edit doesn't work either. D:

Not sure if it's Neoseeker although it's likely since no other websites but every now and again, it cuts out. First noticed it on my 3DS that I kept getting 'communication error' but seems to happen on the PC aswell I get 'server cancelled connection'

The site should be functioning mostly normal again, thanks for your patience!

Some operations, like quick edit, were broken over night, and all should be working now.

Redemption - On the mobile site, my quote box is...incomplete shall I say? I haven't actually got the quote box, just the layout of a quote with the text quote but no box...don't know if this is a bug that fell out of yesterday's issues or an update?

So earlier yesterday I got an error message after I clicked on a notification.

It's been messing with the quotes as far as I can tell, it's not really that bothersome but it is a bit of a nuisance.

It took me a while to notice where the quotes where ending. Should I report this as a bug?

Thanks both of you for reporting the problem - this is now fixed.

Forgive how uninformed I'm about to sound, but the fact is I often am.

Just to be clear, Followers are people who have friended you but whom you have not also added as a friend, right? Somebody just added me as a friend recently and I saw my follower count increase by one. After adding him as a friend, my friend count increased but my follower count remained the same. Is this broken or am I a boob?
