Yes I have your solution. It's a bit of a pain but for some reason you can't view servers normally. Instead if you want to visit a server you'll need to

Close Freelancer.

Go to the game directory and navigate to the EXE folder. In there find the file fldirectip.hta and open it. This will open the direct connect panel.

Type the IP for the server:
Port # (Should be 4 digits or so):
Select add server.

Then hit Launch Freelancer.

I normally play on Freelancer Universe or DS9. If you go to their site they have specific information on how to connect to their server.

Microsoft dropped the support of the Global List Server long ago - that's the reason why you don't get Online Servers anymore - but they are still there .

The Freelancer Community developed it's own GLS to keep the possibility of direct connections. Simply load this Modification http://the-starport.net/freelancer/download/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=6 to get every listed Server back into your Game.

When you do it this way you will be able to play not modded Freelancer Servers.

For all Freelancer Server does exists a Community Bar which is listing all Freelancer Servers, the major Freelancer Clans and also all Community projects.
