ok I bought another pack and got Ryu -Ran. He looks very strong, but he's a 7 star monster. So, do you think he's a good card to have in a deck? Oh I also got Shining Angel. It's a rare and is a 4 star card. It's effect is --- when this card is sent to the graveyard as a result of battle, you can select 1 light monster with an atk of 1500 or less from your deck and special summon it to the field in face-up attack position (no tribute is required for monsters of level 5 or more). The Deck is then shuffled

So what do you think of these to card?

Ryu-ran's a good card. Why does it seem bad that he's a 7-star monster? Are you afraid to do tributing? 2200/2700 (I think that's what it is) is a good atk/def indeed.

It's 2200/2600 but that's beside the point. If you play the Dark Magician which is 7 stars, why not the Ryu-Ran? Oh and Shining Angel is okay. The face up attack along with teh low attack is sorta bad though.

I personally don't think either of them are good, Manga Ryu Ran s different though

what's manga Ryu Ran??? Oh and it's 2200/2600. BTW, what's the attack and defence of Dark Magician? Oh and with Shining Angel, can I also bring out Shadow Wall with it's affect. The reson I am asking is becuase shadow wall says that it need labrinth wall with Magical Labrinth to be summoned. But Shining Angel says that no tributes are required for monsters 5 star or over.

Wall shadow is Dark for one, and it has over 1500 attack power, therefore it cannot be summoned by shining angel.

I checked on Manga Ryu -Ran and it has the same attack and deffense and the normal Ryu -Ran. Can anybody tell me what's the diffrence between the two cards and why Manga Ryu Ran is considered better? Thanks

Yep, Manga Ryu-Ran is a toon, it can attack your life points directly, even if you have monsters on the field

Isn't it true then, that it can only be used if you have a toon world, which is very rare and in a deck of 40 cards, is not always picked. Why do you then still consider it better?

because it's a toon, and can attack the field I consider it a better card, regardless of what you have to do to get it out.

I like the sound of this Ryu-ran, I have yet to discover him in duel monsters but he sounds like a good card even though he does cost 7 stars.

I like monstors with powerful defence like his - It can be used to win matches if you play your cards right.

yeah i agree but i still like the attack power to be good because you cant win if you keep defending against some one, you wont win.
