General chat commands and functions

Communication between your friends is crucial to your online experience. Here you will learn how to copy/paste, add friends, squelch, hostile someone, increase the monster levels on Single Player and more.

First off lets start with the basic messaging.

Get on Battle.Net and join/make a game
Press Enter to open the chat box
Type your message
Press Enter to submit your message

Any messages sent to and from friends will be in Green text.

In Game Commands

M = Open your Message Log
Friend List = /f l
Add a friend = /f a AccountNameHere
Remove a friend = /f r AccountNameHere
Message all friends = /f m YourMessageHere
Message someone = /msg AccountNameHere YourMessageHere

Repeat old messages = Press the up and down arrows to cycle through your last several sent messages... press Enter to resubmit it.

Over the head text = Put a ! as the very first letter of your message

Squelch/Mute (Ignore) a player = Press P for the party Screen. Beside the character you wish to squelch there are squelch and mute buttons. Mute will make it to where that player cannot read your messages, however, it doesn't seem to work every time.

Hostile Someone = Press P for the party screen. beside the character you wish to hostile will be a button with two swords, click it to hostile and the swords will cross, click it again to unhostile andt hey will uncross.

Increase the level of monsters in your game based on # of players simulated

(Singplayer Only) = /Players 8

You can choose between 1-8 players.What this does is it makes the monsters higher level... Higher level monsters = more experience and more item drops. Using this method can get you from level 1 to 6 in just a few minutes off the start. One you get to Tristam it can get you from 6-12 in as little as 30 minutes.

Create a chatroom which you are a moderator = /j Op YourAcctNameHere

Copy Paste a message = Highlight the desired text then press Ctrl + C to copy it then Ctrl + V to paste it.
