I couldn't even watch the video past 20 seconds or so. I was too disgusted by it.

quote DragonMaster_DyneI know dude. It's ridiculous. Why not just show videos of what was shot IN the woods or something. You don't need a live demonstration to a bunch of immature kids who laugh and clap as the rabbit takes it's final breaths. Unbelievable. ------------------- Hai gaiz!!!

Yeah. That's just wrong. I would understand if they just went somewhere in the natural environment and saw this but they didn't have to bring in a Python and just sacrifice the rabbit for their viewing pleasure. It's not "nature at work" if you're the idiot setting the "demonstartion" up.
I bet next week they'll have two Pit bulls in cages and have them fight each other. And why not? Dogs fight all the time so it's just "nature at work"[/sarcasm]. ------------------- ![]()

I liked the guys comment on the youtube video board, it said "Next, lets let a hungry male lion in the room with all the kids and see nature at work," referring to the fact that they didn't learn anything, they just laughed and giggled.

People need to toughen up, the pussies. People feed snakes mice every day yet nobody protests because mice are not as "cute" as pretty little bunnies.

Seriously, parents complain too much.
Those aren't kids. Those are HIGH SCHOOLERS, and they VOLUNTARILY stayed after school to see something that happens in nature. ------------------- You have to see this...

re: Classroom Demonstration: Python Eating Bunny |
quote Master TenkuSo can we throw you in a pit with hungry lions and let you get eaten and not care because you're not as cute as someone else? People do that because mice are the snake's FOOD. If I'm not mistaken snakes don't eat rabbits but correct me if I'm wrong. What's wrong with this is that they mindlessly set up the experiment just for the hell of it, Master Tenku. ------------------- ![]()

People aren't mad because "rabbits are cute," they are angry because they did a demonstration of "nature at work," yet basically sacrificed a rabbit to the snake. That's not nature at work. I don't see why they didn't just show a tape of that kind of stuff in nature. Still, they gave the students the option of whether or not they wanted to see it. Still, it looks like they didn't learn much. Most high school students are still immature kids. This kind of thing would have been more fitting for some biology college. Nonetheless, I think it was wrong.

quote gameboy613Exactly. There was no need to bring it in live. A science video would have been sufficient enough. ------------------- Hai gaiz!!!

re: Classroom Demonstration: Python Eating Bunny |
quote gameboy613Pythons do eat rabbits. Look, this is completely appropriate to show at school. There is nothing wrong with it. I remember when my Science teacher would feed mice to his snake because it needed to be fed and we would watch it all the time. Because it was cool, and we actually observed how the whole thing happened. I will say though that the kids kinda didn't handle it very well though. But hey, they're just teenagers and wanted to watch something that they've never seen in their life. ------------------- ![]()

quoteWell, now you know what kind of fine people the teachers of TCA are. The python eating the rabbit doesn't bother me in the least; what pisses me off is the fact that these little shits were sitting back and enjoying the show. ------------------- ![]()
