Natural Selection Theory: doctors r bad.

Okay, so waaaaay back before doctors and Medi-cow, people who were infected by a disease were killed off and in a few(hundred) years the disease disappeared. But now, we have treatments for diseases, so the host of the disease can still pass it on to future generations, so nature can't do its job by eliminating the ones that have the disease.


So what are your views on this dilemma? Would you rather we allow nature to destroy these diseases by destroying the weeker breed? Or would you allow doctors to prolong these diseases so that the human population could over-crowd the planet?


Also keep in mind that the longer these diseases stick around, the stronger they can get.

It's not natural selection that's where like slow Gazelles are killed and stronger evolutions survive and stuff. Disease is luck(or the lack of it.)

The idea of Natural Selection is "Survival of the fittest". So if one has a disease, they ain't fit, so they ain't gonna(supposed to) survive.

How would you feel if one day you found out that you had malaria or something and nobody wanted to cure you just so that they can get rid of the "weaker breed"?

Then for the good of the race, I'd have to die out.

The idea of waiting for a natural cure for disease's is not a overly great one as it can take decades for some disease's.

But what if we never had doctors? Then perhaps most of the deadly diseases would have disappeared by now.

Viruses mutate all the time. If we never had doctors the diseases would still be here including new ones.

Viruses need hosts to mutate further. SO if the host dies before it infects someone else, then the virus goes with it.

That would be an infection...which is why I said that if the virus doesn't infect someone else, it dies along with the host.
