According to former users, brown-brown is a very potent performance booster in combat. Actually I was more concerned as to whether the gunpowder is a placebo effect or whether it actually has a chemical effect on your body.

The gunpowder particles have a physical effect on you by practically rubbing sensitive areas in your nose raw. Think of a bad pollen allergy where you are in pain but can't do anything to relieve it. This is the effect I seek - it makes me go into "rage mode" out of frustration at my inability to cure the pain. The gunpowder has no chemical effects - its effects are strictly achieved through physical contact.

So technically, you could achieve the same results by inhaling any other chemical that would irritate your nasal cavities?
