If you're new to Neoseeker, haven't been involved in the auctions before, or simply forget how things go, read through this thread and you'll understand exactly what is happening. In this particular auction female members of Neoseeker will sign up to be "love slaves." After the period of registration, you can bid posts on the members, and the highest bidder will get the rights to the member for a week. There are several things that you can make your slave(s) do.. Different posting style; however, you may not have your slave write in any font color that makes their posts difficult to read (neo background colors, white, bright pink/yellow, etc). Modify their custom title, profile, avatar, neohome, and signature. Sign guestbooks while abiding by the above font restrictions. If you manage to get a moderator as a slave, you can have them add an image to the header of the General Discussion thread or something like it, or to the footer of the forum. If the moderator is willing to make the change, you can also request that they change the CSS (and therefore color scheme) of the forum. We have to request that no pink or otherwise vibrant colors be used as it makes Neoseeker look very tacky and unprofessional. Moderators obviously will not close threads, ban members, or do other irresponsible actions for you. In addition, if your slave owns a slave or slaves, you may not tell them to tell their slaves what to do. That is very pointless and unfair, and this year it will not be allowed. In addition, you can only change your slave's posts; not their posting habits! You can not tell them to post in a certain place (except the Aftershock thread) and you can not tell them to "not post." If you are a slave and decide to conveniently disappear for a week, you are immensely ruining the fun of someone else, and will be punished. You'll have a break from Neoseeker for a few weeks, therefore disqualification from the rest of the auction, and you'll never be allowed to participate in future auctions. Do not sign up if you are not absolutely sure you will be here for at least most of the week you'll be enslaved. A ban for messing up an event may sound harsh but you're wasting someone else's posts, and therefore, ruining their fun. As for bidding currency, posts will be the only option. Contributions, neopoints, or anything else will not be used. Anyone found spamming for a boost of the post count hoping to get more slaves will be dealt with harshly. Please be a legitimate bidder. The auctions are for fun and nothing more. As these are the female auctions, male members will dominate the bidding. Females will also be allowed to bid on other females though, as it has been in past years. However, females may only bid 1200 posts on another female. Males may bid however many posts they want. I will now give a timeframe for what is going on. Registrations will proceed from Sunday, January 14th to Thursday, January 18th. Bidding will proceed from Thursday, January 18th to some time on Sunday, January 21st. The week of slavery will be from the time when the results are posted (shortly after the auction closes) to the next Sunday. Please do not use this topic to spam. You may bid/register in this topic or discuss what's going on with the auctions. This is a fast-paced topic but that doesn't mean it is a playground for spam and off-topic posts. If this thread becomes too filled with off-topic posts, they will not be deleted. However, when the auctions are over, the entire thread will be deleted, as the moderators will not waste their time cleaning up spam. We want to archive the auctions as much as you want them archived. Please make it possible for us by not spamming. If you have any questions, post in this thread.
