Legos

Did anyone ever have these when they were a kid?

Everyone I've ever known played with or still does play with legos.

Sometimes I'll even sit there and build a house for a lego man when I'm watching TV or something.

IMO they are the greatest toy to ever be created.

I was never a big fan of creating lego houses using your own creativity. I prefer having a 100 page set of instructions and going from there. Last year I made a 1000+ piece Farari Enzo. I only get something new about once a year because the good ones cost like $100 but are fun.

Oh I always hated it when people would take a set of something with instructions and then made something worse out of it.

I was always build the cool thing then take it apart and superglue each piece on so the neighbours couldn't break it.

then I would get the misc. set of creativity bucket thing and make my own things in there.

And yes, I played with Lego, but it wasn't my favourite - I always preferred playing footy.

Well, all of my legos are in my brother's room. We put them in his room because I'm kinda too old for that stuff.. but seriously.. who doesn't love legos?

I'll play with legos well into my 40s

I built an entire town using every platform I own.

then I pull out the town from under my bed once in a while and put all the people outside their houses and shoot everything with rubber bands and/or my airsoft gun.

This has to be the best ever thread, legos was amazing when i was young, i still have mine somewhere in the loft. Haven't touched them for about 4 years.

I love Legos! I used to have all of the really huge, sweet sets from the late 80s that had like 2500 pieces... Like the Black Knight's Castle and the Black Seas Barracuda. Damn, if only they still made the good ones. I'm sorely disappointed at the post '95 lego scene.
