Worst thing(s) to happen to your car

What is the worst or some of the worst thing(s) to happen to your car?

Mine is rebuilding an engine - it cost $3K (US) and the dumb car was only worth $900 (US)!

This can include anything, i.e. repairs, but may NOT include accidents.

Well I don't have a car but a couple months ago my cousin hit a deer with his 77 Cordoba and when I saw it, there was no grill and the hood was a little offset, but it looked like the car ate the damn deer! It was so funny, there were tuft's of deer fur jammed in his bumper and in the radiator and stuff.

I don't know if you noticed,but that's pretty much what the man meant when he said that.

Probably having it turn-turtle 3 times and landing on its wheels. I was driving and apparently I fell asleep. My car bumped into the lane dividers and I was startled so I jerked the steering wheel and I turned it to far and the car just shot up into the air and turned three times. It was wrecked but the hood and trunk were apparently spared of real damage.

Hmm.. I didn't get any bruises though. Just a few muscles hurtin' afterwards. My car's better now coz that happened around 3 years ago.

Back home in NIreland, in like 94, I(NO LIE!) ran into a Scottish Football club's bus that was parked at the time, b/c i wasn't loking where I was going, don't talk, eat and drive kids. the bastards did lose though, so maybe I screwed up thei r karma:_devil:

Over the course of one week I had the following stuff happen to me, I have therefore qualified it as the worst day in my cars life:

Tuesday: the rear passenger wheel came off on the highway at 60mph ($60, 5 new lugstuds, and 1 new rim),

Wednesday: the radiator sprung a leak, overheated the motor, which then blew up ($200 for a new 4 core radiator, $2000 for a new motor, I happened to have a spare 305 sitting around)

Friday: Completed installing the new motor, only to find out the sprayed coolant under the hood caused the alternator to fry, and the passenger exhaust manifold to crack ($50 for a new alternator, $20 for a junkyard manifold)

Saturday: Flat freaking tire ($40)

Monday of the next week: The hastily rebuilt carb on the 305 lost a screw inside of the intake, found it's way into number 1 cyclinder, imbedded itself into the piston, and cracked a head, luckily it didn't punch a hole in the piston, nor did it puncture the water jacket ($300 for a pair of matched junkyard heads, and head gaskets)

Tuesday of next week: Headlight burnt out ($15)

So what is that, $2685? I hate that car.

I feel you, Rabbit Cluster. That's what happened to my car. (It was a 1988 Hyundai Excel - wha a piece of junk!) But on my car, TWO of the cylinders were ruined. We (my dad and I) had to rebuild the whole engine - new pistons, rings, rehone the cylinders, new fuel pump, new exhaust manifold, new piping, new wiring, etc. That's why it cost so much.
