	It was a flag the confderates made of their supporting states upholding their beliefs (slavery) similar to the Nazi German flag. You wouldn't really want someone flying that high in their yard, would you? 	I don't think of it as a symbol of slavery. Sorry, I am from the south and I like the confederate flag. It represents the people who fought and died for the south, many people's ancestors around here. Its the flag for dixie, and unless you think of it in a racist manner, its not racist. 	lol ok ok i guess that is true....i always figured it was just a symbol of the southern states...but yea the whole slavery thing was in the south, and blah blah blah....american Nazi kinda...lol.. in my old neighborhood some redneck guy drove through with the flag sticker (big sticker) and the next thing i heard were gunshots....then he speed by and his window was shot out...lol kinda funny...he should have never put that shit on -------------------

	No it's definetly not like an American Nazi Swastika or anything, it's just that people usually associate it with the Civil War. I don't really mind it(I don't mind much) but slowly as I see it more and more, I'm starting to think it's not much of a racist thing, but a symbol of pride. ------------------- .myspace.

	He got shot at for having a confederate flag sticker? 	I'm thinking he probably road through an area not in the south... Because I know when they displayed one of the model Dukes of Hazzard cars(I forgot it's speical name) here in Chicago, they took off the southern flag and just put on the American one. So people here definetly don't want to risk people thinking they're racist for showing it. ------------------- .myspace.

	To me, it matters who is showing the flag. From the person I can interpret whether or not it's racism or pride. Come on, the the 1969 Dodge Charger (General Lee) the Dukes owned had the Confederate flag on it! -------------------

	Most people find the Confederate flag racist because of during the Civil War the south was in favor of slavery. This is because Americans are stupid and think the Civil War was only about slavery, and thus immediatly attach slavery and racism to the southern flag. But that is besides the point, and the fact remains that the south did support it. Its viewed as racist because most people that display the flag are also racists, thus people assume that anyone who displays the flag is a racist too. Its the way the world works. Get used to it. ------------------- I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

	The civil war wasnt even to free the slaves.That was just a morale boost later on. And btw,the "Nazi Flag".Isnt really Nazi.The Nazi took it from another place when they made an expedition to Nepal where they thoutght the "Aryan Race" came from.And thus they used irt as their symbol.But the swastika represents love,peace and good things.Its an old symbol. Ignorants that think its nazi,shame of them. 	is it racist??? kinda. the the flag was to represent the 13 states that opposed the opinions of abe lincoln. he wanted to free the slaves, and the southerners wanted slavery. then the war thing and gettysburg and whatnot...bla bla bla. oh, anyway, most people i know who have custom plates or window decals are either hill billy farmers who are just rednecks, or slightly racist. either way, it was a flag of the south, and ive seen a few african americans have em too, because the heritage of their family. and i aint exactly in the deep south, i live in kentucky ------------------- its a celebration bitches...enjoy yourself

And if they are flying it because they are racist, so what? Yeah, it's "wrong" to be racist, but if they are, no one is going to stop them. I think it's a good thing to fly it if you're racist... I mean, it's kind of like, "Please don't come near here if you're black, I don't really like you." So, it's a friendly warning not to try to talk to them. Kind of like when black people carry knives so white people know not to go up to them...
