The reason this comparison doesnt work is that Neofriends aren't really all that close (actually they aren't close to you at all) but a real friend is. They are not the same things! You cannot compare a friend with a Neofriend (who is more like a co-worker or an aquaintence).

Yeah, that's true, a real friend is way more important to me than all my neofriends, but even if they really balanced at all, it doesn't mean you can't say which you have more. It is like saying how many video games and plastic toys do you have, they aren't equal at all, but you can just say which you have more.

Of course, but I was just pointing out that it doesn't actually give you a result you can use to determine anything. In other words, in pointless!

So you are saying that a neofriend can never be close to you even though there are people on Neo who choose to see these people because they are cool, in love, or want to hang out with them...pssh wtf is this with "real friends" you can't truley have real friends...if a friend comes on to neo then you are saying my friend near me and the same friend on neo is not close to me yet he is? My fiance is on Neoseeker and the relationship is not different. What I was trying to point out was that these are people you have never met, you don't even know properly and then you say your clsoe to them? How sad are you guys? My closest friend on Neoseeker (Badboykilla) is about as close to me as an online friend can be, and yet he isn't actually a real life friend. You guys spend to much of your lives in a computer. It is very sad!

More real friends for me. Of course, there are a few neofriends I know well enough that they could practically be considered real friends (0Zero0, TheLord968, NightmareX, and a few others...).

I have to agree with Hyato on this. You can have people on neo that you can even consider to be a best friend. Unspoken and myself are like siblings because we have known each other almost for the 2 years I have been on neo. Friendships form where ever you go, and if that includes online, well I'm sorry to everyone who thinks that you have to know the person physically to consider them a friend.

I have about the same amount of neofriends as of offline friends. I can get along with almost everyone I come into contact with, unless they get me mad with insults or whatnot about me or my friends.

I agree, an olnine friend isn't actually a proper friend at least not until you meet them and find out what they're like in person.

I have very few close friends because I never keep in contact with them but I do have a great deal of more distant friends who I speak to every now and again. Still, my friends who I only see every once in a couple of weeks are considered better friends than people on neo because I know them more than I know people on here. It's easy to put up a front on the internet, I mean I was a girl for a while, no one would believe me now in real life... (hopefully)

i have more real friends, no neo friends, i mean i have talked to a few cool people on here, and i have around 5 really good friends, and alot of aquaintences, but yea that still would count for more real friends though,
but anyway there are gonna be very few people that will admit to having more neo friends, because of the fact they will most likely get made fun of for having no life....but whatever there funeral..lol

I have a lot more (I'm not going to call them real friends, because you can have a 'real friend' on-line too) off-line friends than on-line ones.
