	I used to smoke Marlboro Reds at school all the time (university, of course =P). I had myself believed that they calmed my nerves and numbed the pain in my back. Seemed to work at first, but then it was where I was just smoking them to smoke them. Tried other brands, too, like Camels and Virgin Slims, but they seemed so mild compared to the Reds, so that's what I stuck with. Despite my age, my parents were infuriated to find out that I was smoking and forced me to quit or to live elsewhere. I was about tempted to say I was going to move, but then my dad said he'd quit chewing if I quit smoking. We put it on paper, and the contracts were made. A few months later, my dad's chewing again. I asked him about the cans, and he told me they were nicotine-free and practically harmless. Then I had the liberty of reading the side label on one of his cans. --; I didn't start smoking again until about a year following the creation of the contracts. An occasional thing I do when I'm out partying with some friends. And no, my parents don't know about it. =P Sheesh, 19 years old and being secretive about smoking. As for cigars, I've never tried one. Tony smokes them while he plays poker, but not sure as to what brand. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some sources to get me a hold of some Cubans. If they're that great, I want to know how right you peeps are. Oh, there were also these black cigarettes out that I've tried once. They blister the insides of your lungs so bad. >_< But that honey taste was pretty nice. I can't remember what those things are called, though. --; Dammit. ------------------- Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

	Hmm not into cigs too much, but I love cloves. Even though they kill your lungs, they are my favorite. I also like black and milds and other cigars. I love going to the hookah bar.

	Hmmmm, I can never get my mind around cloves cigarettes. It always smells like someone is baking a ham, when someone nearby is smoking them. Plus I had an ex that smoked them constantly and made me crazy with them, so.... As for cigarettes, I love my Marlboro Lights, I just can't give them up. I go for 2 or 3 days without one then I'll smoke a whole pack in an afternoon. Ah, Sunday mornings with my French Vanilla coffee, light and sweet, with a ML. Good stuff. As for cigars, I love them. And I think there is something sexy about women who have an occasional cigar. I have been know to smoke an Al Capone Cognac dipped at my weekly poker game, but those look like little cigarettes. What I really love is a Romeo and Juliet cigar. I only have one of those once in a great while though. ------------------- New art? Really?

	I'm not trying to start a flame war, but I have a serious question for you guys... Why do you START smoking? I mean, you know that cigarettes/cigars/pipes, and even chewing tobacco will damage your heart and lungs, make you addicted, irritate your throat, and generally screw you over long term... Right? A girl I have a big crush on used to smoke. I actually considered leaving her alone because of it. Thank goodness she stopped. I can't even go NEAR someone who is smoking without coughing. 	Cigars are an experience I've yet to have. I smoke Marlboro Lights/Gold for preference but if I haven't had one for ages any brand will do. Originally I started smoking around the time my GCSEs started, it was a stress thing. -------------------

Here smoker's can discuss anecdotes, favourite brands, general thoughts about smoking etc. This thread is not intended to debate the health effects of smoking, it is a general conversation about smoking Not to be a jerk, but this was posted at the beginning of the thread. Many of us are well aware of the drawbacks of smoking, and we don't wish to be reminded here. I hope I am not flaming, because that is not my intention, I just wanted to point this out to you before someone got bent out of shape. ------------------- New art? Really?

	I held back due to the controversial nature of the thread but as young crazie says smokers are well aware of it's drawbacks but here is a place where we can kick back and discuss the positive issues (for outsider info smoking isn't about looking cool), we don't force people to smoke (as for second hand smoke, you complain about exhaust fumes?). I'd like to point out that i've fallen into the trap i mentioned earlier, i've got a little tipsy and now i'm off for another 20 pack of classic Marlboro Reds (can't be beaten), any opinion on Marlboro 100's?

	I used to smoke 100's, they seemed to last a bit longer than normal ones...I liked them. Nothing beats a cigar though.
