Does Neo Age Matter?[Poll]

So, what do you think? Would you feel more respect for someone that has been on Neo for a longer period of time than another member?

I have seen this happen in many occasions already; and even more now. Sometimes older members will look at newer members as if they were "inferior" or not as "godly" as they are. My opinion: Yes, it certainly does matter.

In a general consensus here, I think it does matter. I was treated subserviently when I first joined, but I don't look down upon new members on the basis that they're new. I look at the qualities exemplified in their posts...

My answer is that it does matter.

I think I started getting some respect around the 250 mark,so I guess it matters on NeoSeeker,but it should be their qualities that matter,not their post-count.

It's true that the quality should be what really counts, but in most cases this doesn't happen. I normally take my time to judge a new member before reaching a conclusion; meaning I will see how they post, their grammar, spelling, knowledge, and maybe even real age. Then, I will start treating then with respect.

Well, Yes, i do think it matters. I give much respect to those with high post counts, bc i know that they have been here for a long time and that they are willing to help

I figure if they registered Before Jan 2002, they're worthy of my respect, unless they are immature and have bad grammar. However, I do respect many registered after me because I know them.

I don't mean to , but if I see 'Feb 2003' it will seem as if he/she is a newbie, even more so if I don't really know them.

I think it's kinda like High School. At one point or another, everybody's a freshman, and they're gonna get treated like a freshman, but then next year they're a sophomore and they're gonna get treated like a sophomore from juniors and seniors, but they'll treat freshman like freshman, and it goes on and on. Everybody's a newb at one point, and they're gonna go through some crap at first, but then they're a vet and they'll get more respect.

Whenever I read someone's post, someone who I don't know too well, I'll read their post first then check their post numbers and date joined. Once I recognize a name, I'll treat them like they deserve to be treated, based on previous posts. If they have 2000 posts but they act immature or something, I will treat them not as respectly as someone with 10 posts that shows maturity. But, there is always a certain prejudice against newbs. It's just the fact that they haven't been around neo enough to get a feel for it, the rules spoken and unspoken, etc.

In the end, put me down for a yes.
