When is it time to throw away clothes? - Page 2

I suppose it would be when they no longer fit, or you would prefer to give them to someone else who needs them. I have old clothes I'm planning on giving to charity.

I throw away clothes when they stop functioning either by me getting fat or by them utterly losign all structural integrity.

I have 0% concept of style or fashion and still think ripped clothes are cool. I also get attached to clothes. Not emotionally or anything, but the more you wear them out the comfier they tend to get IMO.

And comfort trumps style/fashion (whatever that is) every time for me.

And when i think about it i do get kinda sentimentally attached to certain clothes i suppose. I have some almost destroyed T-shirts i still wear regularly and just dont want to throw away because i have had them for like 10+ years.

When they don't look good anymore. Most of the shirts I wear are band shirts and as such, if I notice so much as a *bleep*ing speck of just black where they should be a graphic, it's going straight to the trash. The idea of a graphic shirt - band shirts included - is to look aesthetically presentable and if you have spots like that, it looks *bleep*ing ugly and not even remotely worth wearing. Holes just look shitty to me, but if they're stitchable and don't tear up when there's so much as a light breeze in the air, they're salvageable. When it comes to jeans and shorts, well, I just look out for holes and fades in the denim of whatever's denim.

I'd use them for dirty shit like painting, but I still have my old work clothes from back when I was a building laborer.

When they don't fit me anymore.

I throw mine away when I've grown out of them or when they are holy. Hallelujah, praise the holy sock god.
