It's been a few years since we last had one of these and I do hope that this year's will be fun and enjoyable. Bidding is now open! When does the bidding end? Bidding will end of the 13th of February and winners will be announced on the 14th. What exactly is this? Members of Neoseeker (as well as members of the staff ) will be allowed to place items up as prizes. Tickets will be for sale using Neoseeker posts, GameGrep Points, and NeoPoints as "money" and the winner will be randomly drawn. You can buy tickets for each individual item. Each item will have its own ticket pool. You can buy as many tickets as you want, given you don't go over your post count. The automated system that will be used will let you know if you don't have enough money left to buy tickets. For you traditionalists that prefer the auction style of the slave auctions, we're also allowing you to place your item up for auction instead of allowing people to just buy raffle tickets. This means that there will be two types of ways to buy/sell an item: a raffle, where you buy a ticket and the winner is randomly drawn, and an auction, where the highest bidder on an item wins. It is up to the item seller to determine which method they prefer. How much "money" do I have? You can figure out how much "money" you have by adding your post count, your GameGrep points, your NeoPoints. However, only a maximum of 20,000 Forum Posts, 2000 NeoPoints and 2000 GameGrep points can be added to your score. This is due to the relative popularity of posting on Neoseeker, and contributing/posting on GameGrep. You will notice that the system automatically calculates how many points you have. Before bidding begins, the system will be updated a final time to add in any additional points you may have accrued during the last few weeks. Any posts, neopoints or GameGrep points earned after the bidding begins will not be added to your total. For example, let's say I have 10,000 Neoseeker posts, 500 GameGrep Points, and 4000 NeoPoints. 10,000 posts + 500 GG Points + 2000 NP = 12,500 "points" to use in the Raffle. How do auctions work? It's pretty straightforward, just like a real auction. You can outbid each other using your points and whoever has the highest bid at the end wins the item. Anytime you are outbid on an auction the points that you had spent will be re-added to your total. How do raffles work? Everyone who buys tickets for a particular item will be submitted into a database, and a winner (or winners if there's more than one of the item) will be randomly selected at the end of the week. Tickets will cost a predetermined amount of points, each item having a different price. Can I use alternate accounts for the raffle? Yes! If you pm Enhance with your past account he can add the points in for you. Can a friend buy something for me? In short, no. Anything you win must be won by you personally. This is to prevent people who have friends with high post counts, who might not be participating, from sweeping in and taking more items than they could afford alone. Additionally, items are non-transferrable. Do not bid on an item if you do not intend on using it yourself. What if I think it's a good idea to abuse the raffle? We haven't had the raffle for a few years now because it is requires a massive effort by those running it. The last thing anyone should want to do is give a reason for it not to come back next year. Abuse includes posting up items that are completely ridiculous (meaning either it's unrealistic or you have no intention of carrying it out) and anything else that is going to give us a hard time. We want this to be a fun event for everyone but will have no problem at all restricting anyone who abuses it from participating. What if I have another question? 	Forgot to implement the function that kept track of how many tickets you purchased. They were recorded in the system so you don't have to worry about that. I will get that counter to show the real number as soon as possible. -------------------

	Yeah, same here Shadow of Death - But Enhance said it should still work and that he just forgot to implement the actual function, so I guess it's still safe to buy tickets. -------------------

Don't worry though, I may lose some of them to other people anyways if they really want that certain people as a slave badly. But yeah I'm having the same ticket problem (PMd Enhance and realized other people were having troubles with it here too), it like drained my points down. I can't wait for that counter. I definitely didn't drain a shitload of points down on my own either, but I have a low amount. .-.' -------------------
