Aliens Colonial Marines: Bullshit involving pre-order

Well, today I happened to see that Colonial Marines is available for pre-order online.

I already have a pre-order with GAME. I have no idea what comes with it.

Anyway, SEGA have two versions of the game on their website.

Limited edition and Collector's Edition.

You need to pay double the normal price for the latter, and it seems to be the only way to get two of the weapons. The plasma rifle and "ball breaker".

The Limited edition also has extra weapons. Ripley's duct taped pulse rifle and flamethrower, for one.

The version of Steam has an extra weapon too, the "SHARP" harpoon launcher.

The SEGA website doesn't mention the SHARP harpoon launcher.

Steam doesn't mention the other weapons and doesn't have the collector's edition. Presumably because it comes with a lot of physical crap like plastic figurines.

I don't know what to buy. They screwed up here.

They are just making things confusing but its most likely that these guns may be released later on as DLC anyway. That's what most companies do with pre-order bonuses these days.

DLC and preorder stuff is horseshit man.

I'm also not amused by most of the pulse rifles in the game being replaced by a shittier "MK2" pulse rifle with a tiny magazine. Why do that? WHY?

GAME are usually good people. Far Cry 3's Lost Expeditions was good and i heard that was a GAME exclusive.

I don't mind multiple collector editions like The Last of Us, but games where it splits actual game content is bloody stupid. I hate that collector editions have 'extra content'. Stuff like bonus maps and such just feels unfair, and extra guns just feels like it's giving you a cheat/hack advantage over others.
Remember when collectors editions came with custom controllers, art books, figurines, sound track, posters and books detailing extra facts about the world?

I suppose maybe it's possible if they give you codes to activate it.

Anyhow, I ordered the game on GetGaming because I got a decent discount on it.

£24 is a lot better than £45, GAME...

I dunno how they're selling them but if they're not contents, you can just download every version that you don't have yet. lol
