Worth the Money

Today I would like to hear things you've bought/are subscribed to/etc. that you feel were totally worth the money.

Like for me, I've been paying for Netflix since October, and I've come to the conclusion that it is indeed worth the $8 per month. Not a day goes by that I don't watch something on it. Particularly because I like to have something on when I'm going to sleep, and with so many seasons available of all my favorite shows, I'm never without something.

So yeah. Netflix. Totally getting my money's worth out of it.


What have you guys bought that you maybe weren't sure if you'd be getting your money's worth from but ended up doing so (possibly and then some)?

Let's see, Netflix, Amazon Prime (2-Day shipping on almost anything!!), my 3DS, Mac Mini, iPhone 4, 4S, and now 5.

All worth the money.

I have a love/hate relationship with Netflix to be honest. Like I'll ignore Netflix for a month, and then the next I'm all over it. I still won't cancel it though for it's pure convenience.

Any game that I can pour 100+ hours into. Pokemon series, Monster Hunter, Animal Crossing, Persona 3/4, etc.

It's nice getting my moneys worth out of a game, and not paying full price just for 6 hours of gameplay ._____.

Buy Dragon Age Origins for the PC. My brother and I have sunk 450+ hours into that game between us according to steam... conversely we've gotten just about 48+ hours together out of Dragon Age 2...

Yep. Monster hunter tri made the nintendo wii worth the purchase. 900+ hours into that game. Online is going away april 30th , but fortunately MH3U replaces it on March 9th of this year .

Stating the obvious with my computer. But if you worked out it's cost vs how many hours it gets used (work/socialising/dicking around) then it would probably be the biggest investment. The only thing that I can think of that would beat it on an hour by hour basis would be my bed, but that gets used by default every night because I'm not accustomed to taking nights off using it to sleep on the floor.

Other than that, my phone contract. I went for the beefiest contract I could find with unlimited calls and texts, as well as 2gb internet and so far it's definitely worth the money. Before that I had a pay-as-you-go phone and while it cost a lot less I was always worried about the amount of time I had been talking incase I needed to make a call that was more important later and couldn't get to a shop to top up - but now I don't even have to think about it which is cool.

Notable mentions go to alcohol, which is about as close as you can get to buying a good time. A home gym and the supplements that go with it. A go-pro camera. A 'refine and shine' kit for my car. A dog.

My PS3 was a wasn't by far. I hardly ever want to play it for some reason and I haven't even beat the games I have so far... Drinking just seems like a better alternative to pass the time.

My car was worth it.

My Sennheiser HD 439's I picked up refurbished for under $40. I probably will never find a deal like that again. 

Been subscribed to Netflix for the past couple of months. For $8 a month it's more than worth it. Also my PS3 for about $299 and my Nike+ running sensor. Great buys indeed.
