Youtube seems to be just like Deviantart when it goes to changing things, every update seems more to make wrongs then rights.

YouTube is owned by Google. They could get rid of the ads entirely, but they're just being greedy.

And there are occasional fifteen second unskippable ads, not just the five second skip ones.

True, but they're a multibillion dollar company. They don't need to pay for the site costs by running ads.

and in the past you only needed a username and a password
then it changed to email as a username
now it wants everyone to link everyone's accounts to other shit ass website accounts
despite all that, it's still the main video sharing giant
so let's all just suck it up k?

I recently discovered that most of the buttons on it don't even work anymore. They just get so carried away with constantly updating it that they cause even more problems. I don't think any users are going to leave them if they go a month before redesigning.

good thing is that they havent changed the mobile site... just saying

Aurora Short Circuit They take at least 50% or more off all partnered channels or something like that. However, the new layout has cut some channels views by half so they aren't doing themselves any favours by changing it.

I hope that helps a bit. I'm following a few Youtuber's on Twitter, and they mentioned it was something like that. The one who mainly talked about the channel money has like 700k subs, and the other guy who was talking about his views getting cut in half had 230k. So I'm guessing they know a bit about how YT makes money/how they get money.
