Back when i was in school and complaining my dad told me i would miss it one day. I laughed in his face.

Dad... you were right. I miss getting up at 8:45, i miss doing piss easy work which my dog could have taken in, i miss hanging out with droves of fit girls all day. I miss the huge holidays, I miss hanging around with my mates all the time. I miss playing basketball every day. I miss having absolutely no real responsibilities what so ever.

Sure some of the teachers were complete wankers and some of it was pants but looking back that was nothing. Almost every single thought and emotion i held dear to me in school i now realise was a complete waste of time. It all meant nothing and i should have spent more time enjoying myself.

Ok so maybe i would not trade my adult life in for it now if im perfectly honest. But school was piss easy free ride in life for me LOL. If only i had appreciated that more back then. That i do wish.

I graduated, im in a tech school, those little brats in class are a pain, and going is a pain some days... If I miss 10 days I am kicked out, and 3 tardies is an absence... I wish it was unlimited!

Imagine when you get into the real world. Only 2-6 weeks holidays a year depending where you live, and you have to work for minimum 8 hours a day.
How will you handle it?

They'll eventually handle it. When money's gradually getting sucked out of their pockets with bills and obligations, they'll understand then, whether through notching full-time hours at McDonalds or finishing their GED months after they left school. Some people unfortunately have to learn the hard way.
