Hm, Vex the Pirate PMd me and made a good point. I believe all of these black jokes are getting to her and they're just getting old. I know some others feel this way too. People think I invite these kind of threads but a lot of it isn't even my doing (I just say some shitty black joke in them). The only one that I kind of started is the one harbin started, but I only made the comment as a joke. I should have expected him to make a thread about it though.

I do realize how it can be annoying though, so I think we should let it die down, and not make it so obvious at least. Trust me, I have to deal with hiigaran saying the same black jokes all the time. I do think it's kind of dry nowadays, I just don't really mind them. Normally my close Neofriends just do it sometimes anyways.

And it just seems like I have no self esteem because I'm making fun of my own race all of the time, and some people are secretly a bit racist and love that kind of shit. That seems like the only thing I can bring to the table too. But yeah I can get carried away myself with this kind of stuff, mod or not. I shouldn't be popular mainly because of black jokes, that's dumb and wrong. These black jokes are like me posting a picture of Chinese food every time an Asian posts or something. This kind of stuff is racist no matter if the person you're doing it to cares or not, some other people of the same race probably don't enjoy it very much.

This is all interesting because the N word is like basic talk on the internet. It's really easy to say racist shit over the internet and not feel bad, but people should actually think about other people's feelings. It doesn't matter if it's the internet or not though. I would never purposely try to hurt sometimes feelings for my own pleasure. I can toss the word around myself too, but just because I don't think much of it doesn't mean I need to say it though. I could say it near the wrong people one day, and honestly a lot of people of other races who say the word are going to get jumped in real life one day.

But really, everyone and myself don't need to point out that I'm black all the time. Those threads are legitimately spam too (we have enough shitty 4chan-like threads sometimes already), but I've been too busy going along with. Good thing only a couple of people have been doing it though. Maybe someone can ask how my day is instead of calling me black, eh? Just because I'm not an intimidating black guy doesn't mean we can throw around these jokes like little kids learning bad words for the first time.

I'm really glad we glad we got rid of that "bitch" header too, it was funny the first two times I seen it and that was it. We don't need Loungin' to seem racist now too though.

Yeah basically the only time i everrrr see Charlie mentioned anywhere is when someones making a black joke (or he'll post and then someone will do it immediately after or whatever).
Having said that, i don't really operate in the same circles as him, so perhaps my view is obscured.

Either way, i think that fact that he doesn't really mind black jokes is inviting people to take advantage of it. Even if a person doesn't mean it maliciously, i don't think people should ever feel like it's an okay thing to do continuously because gee it's kind of awkward you guys

Also everyone always complains that loungin/neo are dead atm and making jokes about a person who is black constantly doesn't feel like the best way to help that just sayan 8)

oh piss off, mate. first off, if you get offended by something, thats your own damn fault for being a pussy and letting it affect you in the first place (ever heard of sticks and stones?). ill crack a joke when i damn well please, and ill do it because it is funny (and of course, if you dont find something funny, well good for you). i do not joke to insult someone. if i wanted to insult someone, ill mean it and say something directly to them, instead of beating around the bush.

call it 'childish chit' or whatever the hell you want, but thats how i interact with charlie whenever i make the sort of comments he referenced. mind, its been a while since i have because i got bored with it, but it is all in good fun. if charlie doesnt like it (or anyone else i respect, for that matter), ill be more than happy to stop. some wuss who cries 'im offended!' on the other hand? perhaps a double dose of offensive material might help your immune system against the 'pussy virus' epidemic.

i have nothing against Vex the Pirate, but no one has the right to speak on behalf of anyone else. if someone has a problem with something, let them speak up. its the internet. whats the worst that will happen?. sure, because charlie has said he doesnt mind the black jokes, it is a nice invitation for people to make comments about fried chicken diets, and the excessive length of male reproductive organs (for those of you who do know how to handle delicate words on the internet, i refer to the phallus. a dick. penis. schlong. trouser snake).

that goes for you as well, tekmosis. stop being like those stereotypical americans who think they can dictate what is and is not acceptable by other peoples standards. im a very easy going guy, and outside of loungin, i can be very friendly (something about this place brings out the worst in me...maybe its the type of people here, i dunno). so when i interact with charlie, for example, in the MLP forums, my personality matches the tone i had in the post you quoted. id like to think that as far as forums go, charlie and i are more than mere acquaintances. we post, we joke, we have a good time. isnt that the point of us being here?

and finally, everyone please shut the *bleep* up about the forums dying already. say it once or twice, but holy hell, having constant reminders of people thinking its the end of the neo-world is worse than horribly overused black jokes (which incidentally, a significant portion stems from me), or those threads about 2012. hey, heres one reason for the decline in activity (see how i didnt say it is dying?): because certain people feel the need to place restrictions on what is deemed right and wrong in posting, when the current forumwide rules are fine the way they are.
