	Seems odd to me. If you carry a gun for self defence it makes sense to carry it everywhere it's physically possible and legal to do so. -------------------

Even if you did, after reading the articles, I don't think you would have won. It's hard to conceal carry a big gun in the summer so people typically carry a smaller hand gun like a .38 or a .380. Neither which would be affective against a guy with a bullet proof vest and an AR-15 in a dark crowded room.

I would fight defensively instead of offensively though. I'd bust some shots to try to get away. Staying in one spot in that situation is not a good idea.

Besides, if I was ever going to carry a gun it would have a laser sight and I would shoot for the head. -------------------

	A tactical vest? Well that changes everything. But you need to remember he still had the element of surprise. It's easy to say you'll draw your gun and shoot him in the head but you need to take into consideration how well you would be able to react and fire in a high stressful situation. Even the best at the shooting range could lock up in a gun fight. Your accuracy dramatically falls when your adrenaline kicks in. That's why cops go through hours of training when it comes to defending yourself against a suspect.

	It still amazes me that people think someone with a gun of their own could've stopped this guy. In a dark theater with chaos all around and tear gas in the air, frankly another guy with a gun seems like the last thing you would want. Just means more bullets flying around, possibly hitting innocent people or penetrating the theater walls and injuring people in the neighboring room.
