Elementary, Watson - Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows Giveaway!

Greetings and a good day to all of our detectives. Today we have a giveaway available to only the finest detectives, in honor of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthday. We have set up 5 different scavenger hunts, the first detective who is able to find the answer to our riddles for each scavenger hunt will win a digital copy of the film Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Rules

- Only one free movie can be won per each of the 5 first clues (even if you're the first to PM for 2 separate hunts!). This means that if TWO people work on the same clue and help each other out, only one of them can get the code! Once the code for that Starter Clue has been found, then no one else can win with that clue. Bragging rights can be won by anyone, however.

- The copies of the movie are only available to players in the United States, sadly. Again, bragging rights can be won by anyone but the redemption codes will only work for US film lovers.

- In order to win, the answers to all of the riddles throughout each scavenger hunt must be solved, and you must tell us how you got to your answer. If you happen to find a clue, that's good, but you can not win unless you provide ALL of the clues. For example: "I followed Clue #2 to Loungin', went to [this] thread, followed it to [this] post, and the ending was there." Without all of the clues, you can not get the code! This is to prevent people from randomly clicking around to win the codes.

- Absolutely DO NOT post the answers in this thread. We will post them at the end, once we're sure that all 5 codes are won.

Directions

- Below are 5 clues. Each of these clues lead to more, individual clues. They all follow a different trail - none of these 5 clues are linked. Each of the 5 clues will redirect you to a different Sherlock Holmes forum, and a different code.

- Once you figure out which forum corresponds to the right clue, you can follow the rest of the clues to the end. Each of the clues has a different string, but some are harder than others to figure out!

- All 3 Loungin' mods should be PMed with the correct answers. Only the first person to successfully complete the hunt for each starter clue will win the code for that question.

- All clues will be hidden in one of the many Sherlock Holmes forums. They will be in the Sherlock Holmes Game forums, Movie forums, Book forums, etc. They can be in the headers or footers, in the thread captions, or IN the threads themselves. One or two might lead OUTSIDE of the actual forums but they will always be somehow related to Sherlock Homes.

- For Starter Clue #2, #3, and #4, in order to win you must follow the clue all the way to the end until you find the Sherlock Holmes quote. That quote must be sent to the moderators along with the rest of the clues that you found. The other two are self-explanatory.

- Remember! You must make sure that your clues all GO TOGETHER. If you happen to find a clue but misinterpret it and accidentally find another clue for a different string, that does not count. If Clue #1 takes you to Loungin', but you go to Community Events and find a different clue, then that is wrong and you won't win! But you'll get the chance to try again as long as no one else has won already.

Starter Clue #5 - The eight greats is where you will find the next clue. [SOLVED]

As soon as someone has figured out all of the clues under the first clue, we will post it in this thread. For example, "Clue #1 has been figured out!" We won't post the subsequent clues, that way people can still try to figure it out if they want to. But we WILL post the answers at the end, once ALL of the codes have been won!

Also! The code for Starter Clue #3 has been found out! So if you were working on that one you'll have to choose a different one!

I feel this would be interesting, but too difficult on mobile mode. I'll look into it once I have a chance to be at a computer.

too bad the movie is for United States members only... well, at least there's some bragging rights that you offers, and the game itself is really fun.
