Yeah, that's what it seems like. It just goes to show you that the law makes no sense sometimes.

Bath salts are still legal to buy & that's all folks need these days.

Jeeze, I heard about this when the idiot legislators of my once fine metropolis started talking about this toxic waste thinly disguised as a law.

I particularly LOVE the part that excludes alcohol from this list, because apparently driving drunk is not really that much of a problem.

Wouldn't it be easier to charge extra instead of outright banning stuff? Banning would make it okay to ban more things based on accusations of being unhealthy and therefore banning nearly every piece of food, plus people will find ways to get them anyway. Meanwhile, charging extra would serve as a bigger detterent for those who aren't as rich or will find the price a tad too steep to want one. Plus, it'd still be profitable, and wouldn't that help stimulate the economy?

And not affect diet sodas? If anything, I think they should be hit the hardest because they're even worse than regular sodas. Diet sodas *bleep* with your stomach to make you really crave sugary snacks moreso than regular sodas ever would, plus I think the diet sodas have maybe a small fraction less sugar than the regular stuff.

That, or just encourage more exercise and whatnot. :shrug:

People should definitely drink less huge sugary drinks, but there are things that could be done to encourage this other than a straight-up ban.

The law confuses me sometimes. Beer's okay and Coke's not. Honestly I don't see how sugar intake and drunk driving compare.
