Some Kind of Sexism

My girlfriend sent a photo of her nipple, no breast, simply a close up picture of it to a guy i know she has been flirting with, I'm not sure to what extent with the flirting but she has admitted to 'seeing that he is attractive' - her words. Admittedly, I feel very threatened and upset by learning of this and I have aggressively questioned her intent with her key response being that I am sexist for seeing female nipples as sexual objects and that I have nothing to worry about. I can't agree with this. I understand that there should be no moral stigma between the sexualisation of genders and everything should be completely equal, but would she be happy with me sending a similar photo to a girl I found attractive? I'm sure she would react similarly, if not worse.

Am I over reacting here or am I right to question this kind of interaction? I don't want responses to be based on a personal level and admittedly I am quite upset while I type and apologise if I come across as rude and looking for answers in the entirely wrong place.

Send a picture of your foreskin to a girl and if your girlfriend complains tell her it's sexist to see your foreskin as a sexual object, see what she says then.

So here's what you do, go find a female nipple, any females nipple(It's the internet, you should honestly have several already), and put it on your phone, say it was sent to you, and watch this girl FLIP OUT, guaranteed.

Then you can call her out on her bullshit.

If that wasn't her reason, then what was? You shouldn't even have to ask how to handle this situation. Can you really see any outcome to this situation that involves you being happy with her? You should send a picture of your penis to this guy. If she gets mad, say it's a guy thing that she wouldn't understand. If you're going to break up with her you might as well get some laughs out of it.

I agree what she did is wrong, and you're definitely in the right here. What I would suggest is that you calm it down. Don't get worked up over it, women love to hate that. If you're wanting to keep this girl then insecurity isn't the way to do it. First of all you should start by asking her this exact question "The issue isn't about your nipples being sexual objects, the issue is why you would send him that kind of photo in the first place. What would possess you to do that?". Stay calm and in control at all times.

Since I can't see her having a good reason for showing an attractive guy her nipple, I suggest something along the lines of telling her (still calmly, always calmly - seeming quite indifferent to her as if you no longer find her appealing and that you're rapidly losing interest) "I'm starting to see you differently now. Maybe you're not as special as I once thought you were. The issue isn't why you showed him your nipple, the issue is how you need to seek validation from more than one man. I thought you were stronger than that. Are you really so weak?".

You could effectively emotionally tear her up by staying calm, or make her more interested in you. No one likes it when someone stays calm in situations so intense like this, but it also shows strength and women love that in men. Showing insecurity will send her out the door.

Heed with caution though, women don't all behave the same and situations and circumstances are different for everyone.
