Struggling to study

I don't know whats wrong, but I struggle to study in my house, I just don't feel motivated but don't know why. I never used to struggle studying, I like learning, I enjoy learning so why can't I get motivated to study?

The lesson I am doing is GCSE business studies, I am working in a temporary work then I be moved to a permanent job.

Last year I failed business studies because of my allergy, the day before the exam I did so great on the practice paper, but the next day the same was similar to the same question as the practice but struggled to read because of headaches and feeling exhausted. I failed last years business studies.

I haven't got sick this year, the exam was going to be on May 22th, but I asked if I could change the date of exam, now its on January or February 2013, but why can't I get motivated to study?

In the business studies book there like 400 pages and over to studies, is that what making me less motivated to study? There must be something making me less motivate in studying or have I gotten lazy?

I work in a computer business, I go to gym, I do driving lesson and almost going to do the driving test and business studies. In a month it cost me £400 a month to do all of that. I also do tai chi lesson.

Do you enjoy doing your subject? In high school i left every assignment till the last minute. Now im in uni, studying what i want to, im motivated to study whenever, im excited to do it

Procrastination is a bitch. I have 2 essays to have finished by the end of the Easter holidays, each is 2500 words long. One is about the life of theatre practitioner and playwright, Antonin Artaud. The second is about the plays of feminist and playwright Caryl Curchill. Whoopee.

I also have to write a large portfolio on each of the essays, respectively.

The hardest part is starting... Once you start, and give yourself the willpower/mental power that you will study, then everything will fall in place. Trust

Yeah it can be tough to study sometimes...maybe ask someone to study with you or help you study,that could work. Sometimes you just need someone to motivate you!

super michael - if you can't learn GCSE business studies in 10 months, then you're probably not doing the right thing studying at all. But to be honest I'd not be motivated to study in your position, when I did my GCSEs I didn't even start studying for any exam until two weeks before it. I can't believe you're even thinking about working on it yet, especially seeing as you've clearly already learnt the course. What's wrong with you?!

Personally I find myself studying best nowadays, and this is for final year university work, about a month before exams because I'm under pressure. I literally can't understand why someone would bother revising for a GCSE which is almost a year away, it's completely pointless. Focus on something else.

I'm the last guy you'll ever see studying. What I do to get started is to open up whatever I'm working on, and just start making little progress, then I sort of automatically get motivated to study... it's weird.

Also, listening to quiet white noise sort of helps me get started... maybe it's weird but it zones me out and makes me focused on what I'm doing.
