Hey, i made a post about this just before asking for help but some asshole decided to flame me for it
 . I didnt know there was a place for asking for help other than the pretty dead looking hardware forum. Anywho i'm hoping a few of you will be more helpful than the previous guy so here's my trouble =3Basically for months now my laptop screen has had lines going down the picture and recently it's just become insufferable. I've asked techy people about this since it started and they all said its just the ribbon cable on the back of the screen come loose and an easy fix. Also looked up loads of videos about people showing how to fix it so i finally thought i'd give it a look myself. So i opened up the back like it said but there wasnt any obvious cable like in the vids. All there was, was a green strip with various circuits on it behind some plastic film and some kind of connection to that held down with some cheap old tape. Being the only thing there i tried (carefully) to reflatten this tape but when i touched it the whole screen went black! I tried flattening it back down but nothing. The computer still works but theres nothing on the screen, like its disconnected but as far as i can see i haven't pulled anything off and everything's still where it was. No idea what i've done here so if anyone here's good with tech and can offer some tips or advice, it would be much appreciated  Thread in hardware forum Edit: Mar 20, 13 7:55pm ------------------- | |
