Loungin' Community Playdate - Wednesday, 6PM EST, 3PM PST: Team Fortress 2

Hey y'all. I thought we could all get to know each other better, so why not over what a large portion of this site is dedicated to: video games. Behold, Loungin' Community Playdate. What will happen, currently, is that we'll pick a game, then play it at a certain time. Simple. It will not be the same game over and over again, and it won't be in the spur of the moment, but an event, probably on the weekends or holidays. With a wide variety of members, hopefully we can have a wide variety of games.

If you wish to join us, simply be online at the time announced. Either friend request whoever is running it or ask to join our game, and we'll pick you up.

Hopefully, we can get a bunch of people playing, meet people we see posting all the time, and have a good time playing.

The only issue I see is people going out of their way to get the game to be able to be apart of this. We have modern gamers here and also retro ones. So you will have to pick games that appeal to both; old and new-er. I'm all for the idea and I think it would be really fun. The older the game the better so we can avoid spoilers and such should people happen upon the thread.

For online gaming, I'm not quite sure I understand this. I planned on making the games to play a variety of popular games so people would already have them. If they don't, then they can join in next time or play a different game with the other members who don't have it. Talking about retro gaming...I don't understand at all.

Two different hosts. Actually, 3 for the Ausssies. They could probably crossover at certain times, because I've played with some members here from the UK in the afternoon, and it was fine.

Time zones aside, what about platforms? We run the gamut here. =/

I wouldn't mind this. I may even participate, depending on the game.

Does it even have to be an "official" game? Might be worth looking into some free online games as little side-events, just for people who can't meet certain times or something, or don't have a particular console.

Like that pictionary game that was rather popular, etc.!
