I sort of agree with this. I know it won't be invite-only forever, but the fact that it is now really smacks of mistrust for the community at large. How are those who have been invited more capable of holding a mature conversation than those who have not? The implication that comes with the new forum definitely feels like elitism to me.

You don't really need to look to see if you're invited- you'll get a PM notification.

They just want to get the forum off to a good start, as several if the mods have stated, and people will be added every day until it is fully public.

I suppose. I use a dictionary for spelling and definitions, and a thesaurus for finding synonyms. Does nobody use a thesaurus anymore?

The person I submitted to be invited, hasn't been invited. Maybe you did get suggested and the mods picked other people.
