We don't know what it's going to cost at launch, but I'll assume $480 USD since that was the cost of the 360 Elite when it launched. Multiplying that by four means a "good gaming PC" would cost $1920. I can build one approximately four times as powerful as the 720 will be by the time it launches for $750. That's a little more than half again the cost of the 720 (assuming the cost will be more or less what the 360's was) for the power of at least four 720s. It may be more than what some want to pay but it's nowhere near as bad as most say it is. It's far from unreasonable considering the price/performance difference and it's not unreasonable that one would have to pay more for a higher-quality experience.
