If you read the OP, you'll find that it wasn't anybody from the MLP forum that made the thread, but rather somebody else who asked about it.

We're well aware that we have our own forum, hence why nobody from the forum created the thread.

yes, but you're well aware you have your own forum, so why still participates in what essentially is MLP general discussion thread? are you implying that as long as someone who doesn't frequent football forum creates a thread about football, it's ok for the f00t bol klan to invade the forum and spam the thread?

Lazzara, stop finding some poor excuse so you can have your way in getting fun out of a situation, which kinda seems a wrong approach to do with the way you come up with it in here.

There has been threads created before here in Loungin' about Football, being it the World Cup Finals, or a thread about Football VS Soccer kind of debate, so I don't see your point in trying to come up with an excuse to make one to go against with the MLP topic to match up against the MLP group with the Football group.

For one thing, Loungin' is a General kind of forum, if it has a thread about somehting MLP related or football related, or even some game forums related, then it's allowed in here, it has it's own forum, but I don't see why one meazly little thread wont have a place here, if it seems discussion worthy in a forum like this.

The thread for once is not made by someone from the MLP group.

The way I see it, it's someone from the outside, wondering how they became a Brony to the show, and like the title says: "Tell us" in a way, tell the general folk who are not bronies how you became one.
And I'm sure there are more outsiders visitng in Loungin', then visiting the MLP forum itself.

And anyone that might be interested or like to share their views of how they see it are free to talk about that, in a way get to know them better, although, if someone is a close-minded person that just has an absolute ignorant view on the matter, and just say it's gay or whatever, without having any interest at all in opening up to it more, then it's best to just ignore the thread, same for people that complaining for it to be closed and that it has no place here.
It's not for you to decide, so don't bother asking questions of why it's still here, unless you're curiouse, then the answer I just gave is how I see it, and why I haven't closed it yet.

Now I'm not saying use Loungin' as a full forum to discuss topics about MLP or football or anything else, it needs to be kinda inter-related, like, we can't have full on topics about one Music Artist or bands, because the music forum has a topic for eahc artist or band alone for their music to be discussed in about.

But more of something eventful like, or out of sharing interests, like The Superbowl, or The World Cup, or a news topic about Justin Timberlake beeing drunk behind the wheel or whatever.

But there's no place to have a discussion here about MLP latest episode, or a friendly match between Chelsea VS Arsenal, then the respective forums itself would be a good place for that kind of discussion.

Threads tend to go off-topic or derailed in Loungin' all the time, to me it's kinda a case to case thing, in which in some cases to my view, I need to step in, and other cases I keep an eye on it, and see how it goes.

I'm a bit lenient in that stuff, because even I go off-topic or into an derailment sometimes, but I make sure I keep myself to the good nature of it, even in the MLP thread, I stayed on topic with the original OP's topic, by how I became one, but later on I also talked about Animated shows, and other cartoons, because people were talking in relation with other shows to level with the current MLP.
Lets just say, one thing let to another.

And this thread had a lot of those, I know.

It went from how did you became one, to this is gay, to people being surprised this was still going, to this is a kid's show, to talks about other animated shows, to why is this still open?, and somehow it also went to Ginger People, and talks about Sexuality; choice or being born with?.

Makes me kinda wonder why I didn't close it sooner going by this summary alone, but by going how the thread went, it didn't seem that bad then it sounds to me.

In this case, I didn't had that much of an alarming sense to the thread, beside being curiouse on how this will go, even with some off-topic discussions in them, because I did kep an eye on it, but so far, I didn't have a problem with what's been discussed, I kinda let most slide, even the minor ones that just didn't add any discussion whatsoever, plus, personaly in my taste, I wouldn't mind having a thread about MLP for once in Loungin', gives me somehting to talk about in this forum, since I rarely post in Loungin', outside moderator related stuff, when topics are either out of my interest, or just plain ridiculouse.
So I can only try to find somehting to post in that I can relate to, or have interest to, because I just don't feel like posting just for the sake of it.

So, I give it a little chance and make an exception of it personaly, and leave it open for a while, until I find it's enough, and then a MLP discussion is closed for another duration.

I know a thread about MLP wont last long in Loungin', even if it does gets lots of discussion out of it, but it usually gets back into that same old debate routine again.

Although, if Misty or Quierta, or even the Supers decided to close it a while ago, I wont stop them.

And I think now would be a nice time to close it, I think.
Since it seems it comes to a boiling point.

These religious threads are very irritating. It's like Loungin' isn't Loungin, but "Religious Bashing".

There are already threads in The Lobby (I would surmise so) and in Thinker's Lounge for this shit. Can we keep it out of Loungin?

That's not true. You have a very diplomatic approach to playing the game. You always present a pathway so my Queen and Rook/s can negotiate a settlement with your King.

I concur. I would play Chess, even though I am crap at it.

How about something like the zombie game they play on universities, or so the internet says? There could be a variation on it we could think of. Just an idea.
