We are witnessing the fall of video games as we know it

Look at the pre-order bonuses, DLC, all the hype and marketing put into these games, theyre not even fun anymore, its all about the money. PC gaming has all but died compared to what it was, BF3 brought some back to PC but not nearly what it was.

Consoles are leading the video game force but theyre full of 6 year olds that just acts like retards on the mic crying everytime they get killed. Sure video games are played now more than they ever were, good for developers, bad for gamers. With so many people on games the lag in most games is unbearable, servers are always down, and every game is full of people complaining about "ZOMG THATS OP GTFO n00b!!!".

But every game out now, this is my new favorite terrible marketing ploy, is pre-order bonuses. Of course to the people that were pre ordering anyway its allright, but it gives developers an excuse to release an iffy game, and they know everyone will buy it regardless because its pre-ordered, they allready have the money what do they care, look at BF3, of course its a GREAT game and i love it, but it was very sketchy at launch and still slightly is, but of course they had millions of pre orders, mw3 doesnt have any major pre order bonuses as far as i know, but of coursw CoD has ELITE which is a whole other topic to rant about, but seriously, games will never be the same again, video games are simply money makers.

no its not the pre order bonuses i dont like, its how theyre used just to get people to buy the game, obviously theyre good, in a way, for the gamers, but really its just a excellent marketing ploy that works too well

But PC gaming isn't dead. Do you know how active people are on Steam? I agree with your other points but there's plenty of good games now. Lol so you're only an online gamer? No wonder why, QQ more.

DLC is shit though. All of it.

I mostly use my PC for single player games though, and so do others. Ever heard of a CRPG?

But from what I did read, you're only focusing on FPS games; which have been in the shitter for awhile.

If you widened your range of games, like to Borderlands (unless you play that too), you wouldn't be complaining much.

Edit: And 95% of FPS DLC's are crap and not worth the 15 bones.

half the time 'dlc' is just content that's already on the disc that requires you to pay to access it, absolute joke. 99% of dlc's are complete rip offs, I don't if people say it makes up for money lost in used games, because that is bullshit...

Your point makes sense in theory... But I've yet to see a company really abuse that. If they did, it would really bite 'em in the ass.
Even now, EA is constantly working on updates and fixes and whatnot for BF3. They can't afford to be negligent if they wanna remain a strong business. Their bridges would burn.
