Everything is either off or at its lowest. Texture filtering is trilinear. As for the software, it has no options regarding the actual capturing other than the source (webcam or desktop) and audio (mic or computer), it is always full-screen HD.

Dunno why I never asked before because it's happened so many times now. Anyway...

Sometimes I forget that I don't have my laptop charger in, and my screen goes black before it turns off. But when I put the charger in, I don't know how to get the screen up again, even though the laptop's still on. Anyone know what key(s) I need to press to get the screen back on, instead of turning my laptop off and on again?

I have a HP laptop btw.

Tried that and sadly it doesn't work. The amount of times I've done this now is pretty damn careless.

in that thread, there might have been some sort of content linked to that site. i know whenever that warning page comes up for me, it scares the crap out of me, so i normally close the tab or whatever haha.

You know I think I actually had this glitch on my old Acer... god that was years ago. It was Vista... with the default Acer software installed. It was fixed after I reformatted.

So I suppose it's possible I downloaded a new service pack with the update or, when I reinstalled the drivers, I downloaded an updated version of those.

Just wondering if any of my American friends can help me. Can anyone suggest to me any reliable internet providers in California? I'm looking to get some access organised, but I don't have the faintest clue where to start.

My ideal solution is wireless, whether it's working off the cellular network or a satellite, I'm not fussed, but a wireless access would be the ideal solution.

So yeah, any help would be very much appreciated.

at and t has wireless card (i think), so you might want to check it. the thing about at and t is that you often have to provide them with your social security number (which you don't really have, but you can use your girlfriend's), and you'd probably need to sign a 2 year contract. but this applies to mobile phone, so i'm not sure if they're using the same mechanism for the wireless connection

clear wireless is something that i've heard around as well, but i'm not sure whether it'd be available in your place or not, though. seems like they're pretty limited

^ that's a good shout, they have prepaid plan as well. so it might work better.
