I don't mind one or two derogatory terms here and there, but if the commentator is just saying them every second, promoting hate speech, or sending porn (which YouTube does not allow in the first place, at the same time has no coorilation with the channel's purpose) then, it's probably the smart choice to decline the submition. I clearly see what you mean, especially about whiny voices. We decided that the video limit to be 15 minutes, the same amount of time YouTube allows for certain users.

Well I did receive advice on rules, but I still need tips on getting it popular or at least make it known.

Yeah, I think you'd be able to judge whether you'd accept a video onto your channel or not, so whether it's full of hate speech entirely or whatever, then you'd probably decline it.

I guess the key to being popular is promotion. For example linking your videos on other videos, forums, etc. But you'd have to do it in moderation/sensibly, as often people will bypass a link to a video if they aren't interested in it to begin with or the way you advertised it was annoying.

Another idea would be to tag your videos appropriately, although any uploader should know this already.

Ohh, and no intros that go for 20 seconds.

you mean the guy who flips out for no reason in what is painfully obvious to everyone that it is an act? im surprised people actually subscribe to that guy. still, i would prefer to watch his videos than that fred guy...the one who sets his voice to a higher pitch so it sounds like theres a vice grip on his testicles, and makes me want to watch him burn slowly.

well, you gotta make sure that you have some sort of appeal to your target audience.

honestly, nova's got something to offer, he's hilarious as *bleep*. you can hate him all you want, but if you're getting over 80k views on every video (and he's one of those people who uploads shit everyday), you know you're doing something right.

sorry dude, but hollier than thou attitude doesn't get you anywhere. his commentary is never boring, and that's how a commentary should be. he's doing commentary on games like happy wheels and minecraft, ffs.

do you even know adhd/ anger management is? he gets frustrated, yeah, but don't tell me you're never frustrated when playing games, lol. he's not one of those "OH SHIT LOOK AT ME IM SO GOOD" guy, there are bunch of those commentaries already and there's a greater chance that your video won't even be looked at.

but to the guy who's trying to create a youtube channel, when you're looking to jump into a trend, it's better to look at your target audience. and why the *bleep* would you have so much rules when people can just create their own channel to upload their videos? don't be ridiculous, unless you're an established video channel, no one's going to follow your rules.
