German boy calls police

That's a little bratty. But then again, you don't know the whole story. The parents might be abusing him or something, or he might seriously have to work all the time, which isn't fair on a kid. Okay, I still don't think it's right for him to call the police even if he is working all the time, but we don't know if there's more to it. If abuse of some kind is involved, he was right to call the police.

He might have asked them not to tell anyone and to make up some ridiculous story like this and BBC News thought it was real and then made an article on it.

There are thousands of possible stories... not every article is the whole exact truth.

Then again, if this story really is true and he really did just call the police because his parents make him do chores, then who knows what goes through his mind at school.

The title of this thread is a bit general, I'm sure loads of German boys have called the police for legitimate reasons. This guy was a prat though, and I'm surprised his mum just stood around and let him waste their time.

lol that's pretty funny. when you're about to argue with your parents, just drop it. even if you're right, you'll still be wrong. not even worth it. just do the chores and move on.

Indeed. I did plenty of chores as a kid. hell, since I'm at home right now because of the fact I can't afford a place of my own, I STILL do them! It's a kids place in life, you help your parents out. Of course now I don't see it as a burden as more of a way to give back to my folks for raising me. Taking care of me, feeding me, etc. This kids needs to get a belt taken to his ass.
