Burgers all the way. And not those wafer-thin frozen ones either. I buy ground beef or grind my own and make them as thick as my fist.

Cooked rare with some liquid smoke ftw. Smothered with mayo, mushrooms and caramelized onions. That's the stuff.

Hot dogs have their place as a backup when burgers aren't available. Those I prefer with relish and mustard - nothing too fancy.

Depends entirely on what's on them and how well they were made I guess. They both have so many varieties. To me, neither one is inherently better. For burgers I like a Tex-Mex style best, with tomato, guacamole, peppers, pepper jack cheese. For hotdogs, I love Chicago-style, which has like tomatoes, relish, peppers, pickles, mustard.
