Alligator? Only crocodiles here I think. I drove over a snake the other day in my City. But it was a bushy part in the city so it's all good. You may think Australia is full of Kangaroos and everyone loves them. The only good Kangaroo is a dead one.

They tax the shit out of you, and it stays bad for something like 10 years? Even after that period is up, the tax rate in general is high. Sure, the average pay evens it out a bit, but it's not worth it IMO. Wat? Australia is like renowned for having one of the most Laissez-faire governments and low tax rates, reletively to most other MEDCs anyway. They've only had a VAT for like 10 years or something.

	Australia's ideal if you're Caucasian, otherwise enjoy your racism. Only opinion I can give is moving to Canada, I'm a visible minority and can only count once or twice when I faced any sort of racism, and I'm 19 years old born and raised in the GTA. Southern Ontario is very open minded, welcoming and friendly. I stay on campus at a university an hour away from the GTA (where I live during the summer) and the only thing I noticed that was different is the largest visible minority (being oriental Asians as opposed to South Asians where I live). The attitude was relatively the same. Enough of my experiences (which probably don't apply to you lol); You won't like the weather, the coldest it can get here is like -20 Celsius in the winter and as high as 30 Celsius in the summer. It's wet from time to time. I'm not really into politics but we are having a federal election in May because the current government bleeped shit up. Fortunately for you there isn't much religion involved in politics (in my opinion). Homosexuality is perfectly fine, and I don't even recall seeing controversy over Creationism in public schools. When I went to court (on a school trip) they didn't ask the fella on the stand to swear on the Bible. Although a downside is internet here, you get a cap size (depending on your plan anywhere from 20GB, 40GB or even 100GB of data usage) and if you go over there you gotta pay extra. Canada is like the leading nation in piracy (yay?), and the legal drinking age is 19. Also, you won't get in trouble for having a small amount of weed on you. I've never been to a Scandinavian nation but if you're not contempt with Canada I suggest moving to one of those. Probably easily the best choice atm, but you'll have to learn a new language. But, you do realize that getting citizenship in Canada and Australia is going to be a bitch? ------------------- The universe doesn't care what you believe

	Screw this, I'm moving to Canada. Also Norway has the highest standard of living in Europe iirc, but is by far the most expensive place to live as well. But like you said, you don't mind high taxes if they use them right, and they certainly do that in Norway. ------------------- Don't ever let anyone tell you you deserve that...
