Log in to remove this sponsored message  Female, 18, 150 pounds, 5'9 symptoms include: Mild to extreme mid-back pain, mild to sharp knee pain, restless legs/tingling, unsteady heart-beat, light asthma, hand tremors, miss-matched pupil sizes, extreme anxiety and fatigue. X-Rays, MRIs and blood tests all came back clean with the exception of slightly high knee caps and a vitamin D deficiency, none of which explain the symptoms. Differential diagnosis? | |

Answer seems obvious enough to me. Mismatched pupils = neuro problems, mild vitamin D deficiency is common in caucasian people during the winter and is negligible however vitamin D is used in the absorption of calcium. Calcium is important in the depolarization of neurons and in muscle function, and imbalance can cause the numbness/tingling, excessive fatigue, and most of her other problems.
Got an ionized calcium level for us, doc? $10 says blood levels are way too high and bone density is deteriorating, if I know my cinematic medicine.  Also it's differential diagnoses, as in there can be multiple. Learn2doctor, plz. | |
