It stands for: Signature, Name, Avatar, Personality and Style The object is to rate the above things of each user. rules You do not have to SNAPShot the person above you It's a tradition to SNAPShot the person above you, but if you don't know the person you can SNAPShot anyone. Do not complain if you got skipped. Since you don't have to SNAP the person above you, and since the game moves fast, people will be skipped. If you post that you were skipped you'll be throwing off the entire thread because people will be trying to catch up, etc. If you're skipped, it's best to wait a little while and then SNAP someone else. If you don't know the person, don't post or pick someone else It's incredibly annoying for someone to be looking for opinions only to have someone else say "Well I don't know you." If you don't know the person, don't SNAPShot them, it's pretty simple. One post per page We know people want to be SNAPShotted, but you don't need to post 6 times a page to get someone's attention. Give other people a chance. This is not a discussion This thread isn't a discussion so don't use it as one. Posting off-topic replies just to get your own SNAPS fast is sad. This is an example of a good SNAPShot: quote The Hazard Enigma Name: It's often those sort of names which stand out the most. Pretty much simple and to the point. CT: I don't get that one, maybe it has a meaning with your likes and interests, eh well. Avy: I really like banner-cropped avatars, since it gives you more of a theme, so to speak. With that said... Sig: Love it, and I love the art behind it. What you can see in the eye and the effects going off it - it all looks swell. Style: Size 1. Well, I used to like size 1, I prefer default much more now. Hehe. Personality: Comes across as a nice direct guy, to the point. I added you on MSN but have yet to talk since I don't log on often, heh. Whenever I can though. Why is it a good SNAPShot? Because it's detailed, and they're all opinions that can help the person. This is an example of a bad SNAPShot that will be deleted: quote Member1 Enigma Name: I like it CT: It's funny Avy: A girl Sig: Another girl Style: Size 1 Personality: I don't really know you Why is it a bad SNAPShot? Because half of those aren't even opinions. How is the person supposed to read that and feel that someone just rated them? I also don't feel as though it rolls off the tongue well enough. That said, certainly unique. No mistaking who you are. CT: Is it wrong that I read it in a New Jersey accent? It just seemed appropriate! Avatar: A fairly cool due with his shades on. Nice and understated, you've been wearing it for a while, so instantly recognisable. No idea who it is though, care to elaborate? Signature: How boring. A link to a rubbish game Also, a quote. Never heard it before, although it sounds very much like a movie quote. Which one is it from, if it is indeed a movie quote? Also, the plain writing approach really just emphasises your 'no-frills' approach to things, keeping it understated. Style: Default. Awesome. Easy to manipulate when you need to do something different (do you know how hard it was to make a header for a post using my NAMFox markup? bleeping impossible!). Personality: I dunno man, I always thought you were stuck up and pretty much an arse, but you've mellowed out the last few months since taking on the moderatorship of Loungin'. I don't know whether it is because you feel comfortable with the responsibility, or if you've grown up, or if you've just realised that there is no need to be so serious all the time. I personally think the change has been for the better, and the exchanges that we have had in the forum have been fairly pleasurable.
