FOX drama "24" will conclude with its current eighth season, star Mary Lynn Rajskub Tweeted on Friday, breaking the news. "Just found out we got the word officially," she Tweeted. "This is 24's last season." FOX later confirmed the news, calling it a joint decision between "24" star and executive producer, Kiefer Sutherland, and showrunner Howard Gordon. "This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible," Kiefer said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "While the end of the series is bittersweet, we always wanted '24' to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon. This feels like the culmination of all our efforts from the writers to the actors to our fantastic crew and everyone at FOX." The star added that a feature film based on the show is in development. 	If you enjoy the show, wouldn't you want it to end while it's still good? Or do you want to watch it descend into a spiraling pile of crap as it continues on forever? Too many good shows have been ruined because they didn't know when to stop. ------------------- Guise. (─‿‿─)

I only had it on as filler most the time, and now I'm going to need something else to put on in its place. I just wanted to make this thread in case people didn't hear yet.....

It was already getting to the point where Jack was told not to interefere, he'd do it anyway, the government would arrest him, and then let him go when he was proved right (as usual)... there's only so many times that can happen before it gets stale!
