I dunno if this is a good thing or bad thing, but I have recently developed a sort of addiction that I insist on calling a "fascination" with this card game.

Anybody else like playing this with friends, online, etc.?

Me and my two friends sometimes have poker nights at one of our houses.

We usually only play for 3 or 4 pound each. We have a friendly game, and then the game for money. I've stopped doing it for money though because I always win the friendly game and lose the one for money.

Playing online is gay. It defeats the whole purpose of the game which is to bluff and read your opponents.
But yeah hold'em is good

Texas Hold 'Em was how I got my 1991 GMC Syclone. I didn't win the truck, but I won the money to buy it.Play it once in a while. Only if there's something worth while.

I prefer it to regular poker by a mile. Unfortunately, everybody I know, for some reason, wants to play "5 Card Draw."

Funny you should mention hold 'em, at my sixth form, sometimes we sit around wishing we had a poker set.

I love the vibe from hold 'em, but I don't play with real money, and I play it with real life friends.

I have a tournament in Hold 'Em next Thursday for cash. Will be my first cash game in a while and I'm not really prepared...

The winnings are 10%, 20% and 70% of the total for respectively the 3rd, 2nd and 1st position.

How strange so did the group that I used to hang around with. A friend even bought a 'professional' set and used to bring it into school.

I play and it makes up the majority of my income. Not that great as casinos though, because people are good but I am improving quickly. I plan on winning a WSOP bracelet within the next 5 years.

You can bluff and read your opponents online as well. Pay attention to the type of bets they make. I bluff all the *bleep*ing time. If you are good live, you will be good online. How is that possible if playing online is so different?

Texas Hold'Em is ace. Play this every Wednesday last period in my Enrichment, i.e free period. We don't play with money, only chips. I've lost both games but we go all-in in the last game and play blind. I've won both with 400 in Chips.

Does everyone here play Limit or No-Limit? I tried limit once and got rocked.
