Well when I watch TV when a person/character goes to Canada and when the canadian police arrives in a scene they usally are riding on horses instead in a police car.
So my question is, does the Canadian Police really do ride on horses or do they ride in police cars?  | |

Well, to my knowledge there's the traditional police who ride in cars and the Mounties who ride horses.

We do have the RCMP, and in some provinces they actually do still ride on horses around cities and towns. Keep in mind, in New York and other major American cities, some cops also ride on horses, so we're hardly alone in that effect.
However, you are less likely to meet a member of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and more likely to meet a member of our provincial police force, which look like cops in America and drive cars, but don't wear those stupid hats like they do in America. ------------------- I don't hate oldies, I just amuse myself playing with them.

Here on the prairies, I seem to see a lot more of the police SUVs rather than the cars. Good to see that we are taking a step away from the Crown Vic finally. =P
