Say you hated gay people, (I don't know why. You just do. It's hypothetical) FINE. Say you hate ferrets. You don't like them. They're too long and they are scary looking. You decide nothing is ever going to change your mind about ferrets, so you try to prove this point by reading articles that put ferrets in a positive light. You read article after article, and eventually, you either hate ferrets less, take neutrality, or like the damn things. Have you brain washed yourself, or have you just become enlightened?

Suppose you're anti-global warming. You think it's fake. "Every summer is the same temperature! And every winter it snows the same amount!", you say. And nothing is going to change your mind about this. You read and you realize there may be some weight to it. What just happened?

And if your stance on homosexuality is rooted in religion, well, than you're an idiot anyway. If you think homosexuality goes against the Bible and God's everlasting will, don't condemn the god damned guys. He made an example of people hating gays before ferrets. I'm not really sure why I said what I did, actually at least in this particular discussion. I think it stemmed from the sentence, "let's say you hate gays..." and then me going wanting to go off on the gay hate-mongerers. Because hating other humans for living a non-destructive, albeit different lifestyle is dumb.
