This may be quite the odd question... |
|
How many individual smarties/M&M's would it take to fill a standard sized wine bottle up to the part of the bottle where the neck first starts to get thin? Do you know anywhere that sells large quantaties of smarties at a cheap price?

In those strange sweet shops you find in Blackpool (guessing your from the UK) they sell vases and canes with smarties inside.

*tisks* Master Tenku, are you trying to cheat on a raffle/prize thing?
Well, if you want to do it the scientific way, bring a scale in, weigh it, and find an identical brand glass, and weigh one of the candies (you may wish to average the weight of several), and the empty glass (with lid, if applicable). You also better be DAMNED sure you know whether they're smarties or M&Ms, or this whole thing collapses (Smarties are thin, and I think a bit more colorful than M&Ms). Now, subtract the empty glass weight from the candy filled weight Now, eat the candy while you do the math (in the end, it would be something like; F - E = Mc Mc / C = N N = Number of candies, approx. F = Full Bottle E = Empty Bottle Mc = Multiple Candies (weight of) C = Individual candy weight (averaged, if applicable) (yes, I did an e=mc2 reference) Course, you have to consider minor differences in the weight of the glass, even if they're for the same product, not to mention the variations in the weight of the candies...And of course, you might get some odd looks carrying a scale to the jar and weighing said jar....And raised eyebrows when you ask where the bottle came from (the brand of product it contained).... You could also try to do a volume analysis, but that doesn't work so well with solids, way to much unused space. Or....Just do it your boring way >_> ------------------- | |

I don't even care. The only difference between the chickens used to flavour chicken crisps/chips and the bugs used to flavour smarties is their size...
